Alchemize Life

Over the last 15 years I have worked as a medical professional, healer, alchemist and herbal practitioner.  In my earlier days, I held various healthcare positions including phlebotomist and CNA while in college where I graduated with a degree in Chemistry, Biology and Business. The alchemist in me thrived off chemistry and experimentation but witnessed how the holistic being was not being acknowledged in these western fields. I taught numerous chemistry labs, tutored science curriculum to college students, and discovered a  novel chemical reaction in our drinking water and presented my findings to the American Chemical Society. After college I worked for eight years as a clinical laboratory scientist performing experiments, microscopic work and analyzing and interpreting clinical tests.

I attained a graduate certificate in Public Health from University of New England. Further, I attended the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medical School where I focused on anatomy, physiology, nutrition, immunology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, patient assessment, histology, osteopathic manual manipulation, craniosacral therapy and cadaver dissection. 

When COVID struck, I made the exciting decision to switch paths and further my studies in holistic medicine. I graduated from the American College of Healthcare Sciences with a double Master’s of Science in Herbal Medicine and Integrative Health Science. I am so grateful I had the courage and intuition to follow my passion and embody work as a holistic healer. Herbal Medicine is the oldest medicine, the medicine of the people, which our ancestors used. 

I first learned of Herbal Medicne as a child witnessing my mother suffer from severe chronic eczema. Doctors offered her steroids but refused to talk about diet and herbal medicine. After taking her health into her own hands, she beat the eczema and then helped pioneer the field of naturopathic dermatology. As an author and eczema counselor, she helped thousands of people manage this chronic skin condition using natural medicine. Witnessing my mother’s ability to help so many people was inspiring and sparked my passion for working with natural medicine.

For over 20 years I’ve been on a spiritual and intellectual path led by my deep connection with the natural world where much of my insight, intuition, and inspiration comes from. I am also truly grateful for my eclectic, vitalist, hebal, Reiki, shamanic, and magickal teachers who have guided me along my path as a healer and spiritual being. One major lesson worth sharing here is our higher self exists and by connecting with this spiritual part of us we can learn to become whole again. Plants can help us remember how to embody this wholeness and perfection.
